Screening of Hike With Mahabir

The much awaited release of the first ever documentary made by Nepal Infopark on the prestigious award winner (Magsasay 2007) Dr. Mahabir Pun from Nepal took place on October 3, 2008. The screening was formally held in the hall of Directions Exhibition and Convention Center in United World Trade Center, Tripureswore. The screening took place in the August presence of Dr. Pun Himself. The documentary was initiated by Dr. Pun clicking the button for starting the show.

Mr. Somesh Barma, English news reader from KTV was the master of ceremony of this grand event. Mr. Anil Chitrakar from Ashoka, Nepal had shed light on the documentary and its objectives before the show started. The event was supported by Helpage Nepal an NGO working in ICT, Growthsellers and Crafted in Kathmandu. The Helpage Nepal team also felicitated Dr. Pun for his valuable contribution for community leadership in the remote villages of Nepal and promoting wireless Internet technology on his own efforts connecting the remote villages of Nangi in Western Nepal with Internet.

The show was attended by a large number of audiences and received brilliant remarks from the audiences. Before the end of the program a speech from Dr. Pun was delivered on his thoughts about a documentary being made on him.
